Hong Kong

Just realized I never posted these pics. Now I don't really remember the names of places very well!

The Weekend of Nov 6-8, I traveled to Hong King with Hannah! We stayed at her family friends' house in Causeway Bay, near Time Square.
On our first day, we went to a park and visited a tea museum.

From the park, we took a tram up to Victoria's peak, to get an incredible view of the city. We hiked back down, and only got slightly lost.

We then took the ferry over to the other island and explored its many shopping districts, including Mong Kok, Jordan, the Temple Street Night Market, Ladies' Market, and the Jade Market (Wow- that's a lot of markets). We didn't make it up to Sham Shui Po.

Jordan (I think ?)

We then saw the incredible light show from prime seats on the dock. I took wayyy too many pictures of it!

Time Square

On Sunday, we sent to Stanley. This is an area with lots of beaches, were you can get away from the busy city. It also has a lot of shopping, and was fun to explore. Very beautiful!

Before leaving, we tried out Tim Ho Wan- the cheapest michelin star restaurant- for some dim sum. We ate it up on the mall's roof for another amazing view!

Xi'an

Here are some pics from my trip to Xi'an a while ago!
Xian's Wall

The Terracotta Warriors:

One of the craziest experiences I had was while we were looking at the warriors in Pit 1. I got tapped on the shoulder and turned around to find about 20 people crowded around us, taking pictures. They were even taking pictures from the side, so the warriors weren't even in the background. I wish I had taken a picture of them. Paparazzi!

Area around our hostel:

Our hostel was surrounded by pet stores- tons and tons of them. They were pretty sad. Here is a pig one was selling.

Our hostel was also on a next to a street market that was selling a lot of cool things. Lots of Calligraphy brushes, beads, seals, and jade.

A dog we met

On Sunday, we went up on Xian's wall and biked around the city. Great way to see the city!

Our last stop was the Muslim Quarter. It was completely overwhelming. There were so many people selling everything you could imagine.
